Hello... my name is Ross Sapienza and I am the Sole Proprietor of Universal Drafting Solutions. I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio and spent most of my time here with family, friends and career. All of my life I have been exclusively focused on how things work as well as aesthetic appeal. As a child I spent many days dreaming about heavy equipment, beautiful architecture and what it would be like to embark on an adventure in such fields. Consequently, I focused much of my spare time drawing detailed illustrations of various everyday objects such as OTR semi-trucks, locomotives and houses. Other spare time hobbies of mine, throughout my youth, were building with LEGO's & Erector sets, creating model construction sites in the dirt and wrenching on anything I could get my hands on.
Over the years I dabbled in several different industries including graphic art and wood working. Eventually my life went full-circle and I reverted back to my analytical (left brain) side and effortlessly decided upon a career as a Detail Drafter. At this point I enrolled in the Drafting & Design Technology program at YSU to earn an A.A.S degree.
Since then, while working for a sub-contractor, I successfully completed many sets of shop drawings for miscellaneous (architectural) metal fabrications used in commercial building projects. Though my recent focus has helped me develop specialized drafting techniques, I am equally excited for the opportunity of working with detail drawings from small part manufacturing to custom floor plan packages.
Now as an experienced drafter in both mechanical and architectural planning, with a passion for detail and a refined mechanical aptitude, I can help the client witness their project become a tangible entity. Being goal oriented and focused on the end user, I am fully confident that I will provide an accurate layout to meet your design needs.
